Greetings Ultras! Your friendly neighborhood Uncle Ed here with a late Mid-Year report.
It’s been more than 7 months since I took over The Ultras and so much has happened. Pieter Brown, as you all know founded this group in 2008 with a rag tag group of fans that in most cases have already left. But we still have a loyal bunch that have seen us grow into a group that now numbers 103 members.
So when we say we are sold out, we are not kidding. We bought 100 scarves never thinking that by mid-season they would be all gone! So we have a dilemma… Do we buy more? Or do we wait until next year? (We currently have 6 people waiting for my answer). Please let me know what you think!

Lexy Semino for organizing the soccer team, Miami Ultras F.C. who now numbers 25 players and played it’s first actual 11 vs 11 league. Cesar Sfreddo for being our main drummer and musical maestro along with Nate Brown. Without you guys the chants would be nothing but chants. Talk about chants, special mentions to Kyle Kaly aka ‘Train Wreck’, Manny Arana and Pabony “Who you passing the ball to?” Rivera. Oh and Adam Nessim our VP for just being him LOL. I’d mention all 100 if I could but it would take forever!
My only wish is for all theses 100+ to one day coincide and go to the matches with their scarves and we can all take a picture. It’s a crazy dream cause we all have lives and a few are from out of town. But I hope one day we could make it happen and that there will be 1000 Ultras and our team will be in MLS.
I’d like to thank Pieter Brown who considering he’s taken it easy is still running the website, designed our cool nifty Ultras 2 GO App. for Android. And also manages to be my partner in our wonderful project that has become a monster “Ultras Alive”, the first English speaking Internet Radio Station in South Florida.
Folks we’ve accomplished much but still need to keep improving and growing. As you can see, we need help to make this group continue to grow. We need for all the members to contribute helping us get new sponsors and partners. Helping us design new T-shirts, Scarves, writing on the websites, twitter and anything that you can think of.
