Robert Brown… Is he related to Pieter Brown or Nate Brown? We’ll never know… Rob is 22 years old originally from Baltimore MD. He has lived in Miami for the last few years to finish school at FIU.
“I joined the Ultras out of sheer boredom, and coming to Strikers games because that seemed like a better way to spend Saturday nights rather sitting at home going through my porn collection.”
We asked Rob a few questions:
Uncle Ed: You are moving on to greener pastures. Why are you leaving South Florida?
Rob Brown: I’ve been in the Army Reserves for five years, however I am going on Active Duty which is why I’m moving away while I’m sad to be leaving North Cuba, I’m also fortunate to be able to collect a paycheck to feed my gambling addiction. Ironically, there are no Casinos where I’ll be which means I’ll have more time to follow the Strikers online podcasts and upcoming international soccer.
Ed: Tell us a cool anecdote since you’ve been a member of the Ultras.
Rob: The best moment was the United States vs Honduras soccer game and getting to see it live at Sun Life . Getting our ass kicked in the tournaments (Futbolito tournament with the Ultras team) was also fun.
Ed: A message to your fellow Ultras?
Rob: I would like to thank the Ultras for allowing me to be a part of the group and opening my eyes to what an exciting sport soccer can be. I wish everyone luck in their future endeavors and look forward to being able to bet the point spread on the Strikers or Miami based MLS team sometime in the near future.
