The annual Pub Cup was hosted by the Fort Lauderdale Strikers this past Saturday which took place at Fort Lauderdale Stadium. The Miami Ultras Futbolito team took part in its third competition this year. The Pub Cup is a 5v5 amateur U19 over tournament. The Futbolito team had new participants that included Coach Juan Ruiz, Striker Jeff Sedano, Defender Elvis Moran, and Mid-Fielder Rob Brown. After two great games and the competition being fast and furious, The Ultras once again left the tournament heading downhill with no wins and two losses. Despite the results, the team was able to muster three goals in two games. Our opponents were Fritz and Franz of Miami and the Colombian Strikers. In one shining moment against the Colombian Strikers, Alvin G. took a corner kick directly to Rob with resulting in a spectacular header scoring one of three goals. In spite of the early elimination, The Miami Ultras will be looking to enter more competitions and hopefully find that elusive second win. As our motto goes, “Be prepared, The Ultras are there!” .
